The Program Analyst will be part of a team pursuing innovative business models and methods that help overcome traditional practices. The analyst provides high-level data management, administrative and operational support for key strategically focused projects. This position will support interventions, systems, and strategies across the Tax-Aide program. This role is responsible for supporting the development of large-scale, systemic and sustainable social change and finding innovative solutions that result in a greater program impact.


  • Assists with management and oversight of business operations for AARP Foundation programs including financial, IT, systems development and implementation, business processes and compliance, and data reporting systems and procedures.
  • Uses and analyzes data to recommend program and process improvements and to measure outcomes.
  • Assists with ensuring all contractual requirements (grant or other), audit and reporting requirements, federal regulations, and AARP Foundation policies and directives are implemented.
  • Handles project and process management.
  • Works with program management to support stakeholders (including volunteers, participants and partners).


  • Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Sciences, Economics, Sociology, Public Administration preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in survey design, evaluation and data analytics.
  • Strong familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
  • A preference to take responsibility, manage multiple projects at once, and deliver professional work-product promptly and on-deadline.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written; ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
  • In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
