The primary responsibility for this role is to perform the Release of Lien when a member pays off their mortgage related loan. The responsibilities include working with counties in varies states to ensure we are filing the release of lien according to their specified requirements. This role also includes the ability to handle standard mortgage servicing questions from internal and external members.


  • Process all mortgage lien releases with the applicable state and local guidelines and timeframes
  • Prepare final loan documents for members
  • Process mortgage payoffs/requests as well as loan verifications
  • Process mortgage loan payment adjustments
  • Review monthly Home Equity Line of Credit expirations reports and mail letters to members
  • Process mortgage payment transactions
  • Research and resolve mortgage loan discrepancies
  • Must have the ability to use discretion in your work
  • Handle member requests pertaining to mortgage loans via email, mail or phone
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of mortgage lending experience at a financial institution
  • Experience working in a financial institution in a branch, call center or retail environment may be substituted for specific Loan Servicing experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases
  • Knowledge of DNA and Nautilus Imaging Software preferred
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct management supervision
  • Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness as a self-starter
