ASSISTANT MANAGER - Logistics

Facilities Management at the University of Maryland, College Park is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Management Warehouse. Incumbent will be responsible for the direct supervision of all receiving functions, warehouse counter activity, fixed assets inventory, all purchasing functions. Duties of this position include performing HR related activities for direct reports and serve as a backup to front-line supervisors for indirect reports.

Minimum qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree. A total of 5 years of applicable experience in warehouse management, to include ordering, receiving, inventory management, stock level management, issuance and distribution of trades parts and materials. Previous experience working in a University setting or higher education is not required, but preferred.

Salary and Benefits:  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience (see postings for salary information).  Benefits include health, dental, vision and prescription insurance plans, and tuition remission for employees and dependents.  Core shift is a standard Mon-Fri day shift.
