Industrial Maintenance Technician - Brick PlantAbout the jobRHI Magnesita is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in York, PA. Our Industrial Maintenance Technician will provide preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and expert equipment improvements for our fast-paced refractory brick operation.Starting Rate: $25.72 - $32+ an HR (or more based on experience) + $1.50 shift/$1.60 weekend differentialSign on Bonus: $3,000Shift: 3rd shift - 10:30pm - 6:30am with weekendsThe Industrial Maintenance Brick Plant's tasks will include:Keeping safety as a top prioritySupporting every department on the York, PA campusPerforming preventative maintenance or repairs on all equipment as necessary (Hydraulic Presses, Conveyors, Mixing machines, etc.)Quickly assess plant processes during a breakdown; ability to communicate with equipment operators and then apply troubleshooting skills and knowledge to fix equipment in an efficient amount of timeDemonstrating an aptitude of mechanical systems including troubleshooting PLC Controlled and hard-wired systems by using required 70E PPE and safe work practices. Support Robotic Control Systems; RHI Magnesita uses ABB robotics and Siemens PLCsTroubleshooting for both electrical and mechanical issues to minimize downtimeTesting electrical systems; (ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-ph) by using multi-meters; Understand and utilize High Voltage equipment; Microprocessor equipment, thermocouples, and RTD'sAbout youMust be at least 18 years of age; attained a High School Diploma or GED; and strongly prefer training with electromechanical principles from an accredited institution or on the job training from another employer.Working in a heavy industrial environment where the assigned duties were in a fast-paced work environment that will be inside or outside in hot, cold and dirty working environments.Equipment repair experience (gearbox, power transmission, conveyors, and bearings) is required.Possess strong electrical, mechanical and analytical aptitude; understand and troubleshoot ladder logic programs.PLC and robotics troubleshooting experience.
