Assistant Director, Fan EngagementThe George Mason University, Intercollegiate Athletic Department, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Atlantic 10 Conference, is seeking qualified applicants for the Assistant Director, Fan Engagement position. This position will work collaboratively with the Director of Marketing, department and University colleagues on strategic marketing initiatives to increase ticket sales and enhance the game day experience.Responsibilities: Fan EngagementDevelop and implement fan engagement outreach plans for all 22 sports to drive participation and attendance.Marketing and Social MediaWork with Director of Marketing on content creation and promoting Mason Athletics social media accounts.Game Day Staffing and ExecutionWork with Director of Marketing to hire, train, manage, and direct game day interns/staff and marketing intern positions.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Business, or Communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrated experience in the sports and entertainment industry creating an engaging fan/audience experience;Experience creating effective marketing and social media campaigns;Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external constituents;Effective verbal and written communicator; andAbility to work evenings and weekends.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in collegiate or professional sports;Experience with Adobe creative suite and graphic design skills; andBasic knowledge of NCAA rules as they pertain to assigned job duties.
