Production & Internal Brand Designer

As the Top of House team, we're at the core of Experience Design (XD). Our team connects people to relevant ideas, meaningful opportunities, and one another. Our work improves the flow of information throughout the organization, builds alignment for department strategy, and enhances XD's profile and visibility within the company.

We're looking for a talented visual designer who thrives in bringing ideas and thoughts to life. Design wizardry, brand cohesion, organization, and creative direction are all critical for our communication touchpoints. This is a role for an innovative individual with excellent aesthetic judgment, who also owns a point of view for how we scale graphic best practices across our world of internal communications.

What you'll do :
  • Optimize the point of view for XD's internal brand, delivering creative guideline documentation and standards along the way
  • Identify visual engagement opportunities and provide solutions from a creative perspective; through graphics, illustrations, animation and multimedia
  • Elevate the quality and components of how and what we communicate across our XD associate base
  • Support major events (quarterly assets) and stakeholder needs (ad-hoc) with deck and graphic creation
  • Manage a centralized suite of XD assets, banners, graphic components, and additional digital assets
  • Collaborate with writers, stakeholders, and channel partners to effectively deliver all project needs
  • Guide our production intake process & delivery calendar
  • Help evolve the team's skills and capabilities, with a constant eye on process improvements
  • Be an email production extraordinaire; using email platform skill sets and knowledge of branding best practices to ensure quality communications go out on time
  • Organize and lead creative reviews & presentations as needed
  • Recommend creative testing where appropriate

A typical week for you will look like:
  • Developing and sharing XD visual brand guidelines to be used throughout the organization
  • Researching associate needs related to brand components, and adding to our centralized repository (which you own!)
  • Creating eye-catching graphics/illustrations/animations that get noticed and drive action
  • Formatting and delivering high-stakes emails to senior leadership, monthly newsletters and program launches to 600+ associates
  • Creating and evolving our email and slide deck templates (and all related components, like banners, signatures, and styles)
  • Responding to and acting on XD intake requests directly, based on priority and impact
  • Participate in hiring by reviewing resumes, conducting interviews and attending consensus

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience creating graphics, logos and videos with Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Final Cut Pro X, After Effects)
  • At least 3 years of experience with Google Suite applications
  • A portfolio to demonstrate relevant design experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of experience working internal communications for a Fortune 500 company
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and practices
  • At least 3 years of experience with internal communication software (Google Suite, LumApps, Slack, Poppulo)
  • At least 3 years of experience working internal communications for a Fortune 500 company
  • At least 1 year of experience in Web design experience, HTML or CSS knowledge
  • At least 1 year of experience in project management
