Principal Associate, Treasury Capital Markets Funding

This position in Capital One's Treasury Capital Markets Funding team offers the candidate a unique opportunity to be part of a capital markets facing team while advancing Capital One's broader digital agenda. In this role, the candidate will work directly to help support a variety of capital markets funding programs - including securitization, unsecured debt issuance, Brokered CDs, and money market deposit agreements. The role requires proficiency in technical and programming skills, as well as exceptional decision-making, analytical, problem solving, leadership, and communication skills. The candidate should be prepared to operate in a collaborative and dynamic environment that requires strong partnership and teamwork.

This position will have a combination of digital and traditional capital markets analyst responsibilities. An ideal candidate will possess a well-rounded set of technical, digital and programming skills. They will leverage these skills to automate capital markets reporting and dashboards, as well as lead projects to automate manual processes. In addition, the candidate is responsible for supporting capital markets funding programs - providing transaction support and periodic reporting. The position will be in a fast-paced and analytical environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop knowledge of capital markets funding programs (Unsecured debt, common stock, money market deposits, brokered deposits, credit card securitization, and auto securitization)
  • Lead automation projects for the capital markets funding team
  • Produce a suite of capital markets funding reporting on performance of funding programs and their respective markets
  • Directly assist the capital markets funding team on new capital markets transactions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on broader Capital One Treasury initiatives


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years experience in financial services or financial programming


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years experience in financial services or financial programming
  • Experience working with capital markets funding programs; including unsecured debt offering and securitization programs
  • Experience working with Bloomberg, PolyPaths, or other fixed income analytics tools
  • Experience working with SQL, Google Scripts, Python, Amazon Quicksights, Tableau, or a combination
