Arc XP is currently seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Arc XP Labs team. The team is responsible for researching and developing proof-of-concept applications to further enhance Arc XP's capabilities for our customers. Focused on innovation and experimentation, Arc XP Labs collaborates with all engineering, product, sales and marketings teams throughout the company. Arc XP is a state-of-the-art digital experience platform engineered to meet the demands of enterprise brands and media and entertainment companies around the world. An integrated ecosystem of cloud-based tools, Arc helps create and distribute content, drive digital commerce, and deliver powerful multi-channel experiences to both internal and external audiences. Today, Arc powers more than 1,500 sites across 25 countries, reaching over 1.5 billion unique monthly visitors. As a Full Stack Software Engineer on the Arc XP Labs team you will focus on the lifecycle from proof-of-concept to transitioning products to core teams for Arc customers. You will interface with product and engineering and partner with account management and internal Arc support teams to solve complex issues and maintain healthy client relationships. This role reports to the Director of Arc XP Labs.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new interfaces and features in React.js.
  • Learn and support existing highly-scalable backend services and applications within AWS.
  • Own responsibility for running applications using CI/CD practices such as automated builds, deployments and tests.
  • Setting up and reacting to production application monitoring.
  • Active participation in team agile activities such as story grooming, planning work backlog, work estimation, sprint planning, retros, demos, etc.
  • Sharing ideas and experiences as well as asking questions. In other words, working to remove ambiguity for both oneself and team members.
  • Eagerness to learn and help others evolve and grow their skill set. Sharing knowledge about new software languages, tools and applications.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years experience building highly-scalable customer facing applications.
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, preferably within the React JavaScript framework.
  • Experience working with Node.JS
  • Familiarity with continuous-integration tools and patterns.
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture, tools and patterns.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building web applications on AWS and AWS Lambda.
  • Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Experience with devops teams that own the full engineering lifecycle.
  • Experience analyzing application and cloud environment performance.
  • Experience working with client development teams to realize solutions on top of existing platforms.
