Director, AML Transaction Monitoring (Remote - Eligible)

Job Description

As a Director in Capital One's AML Transaction Monitoring unit, you will apply your skills to craft strategy, prioritize and manage projects, analyze data, and help make decisions that affect the work of hundreds of associates who collaborate to detect and disrupt suspicious activity. You will lead a team of associates responsible for working across the enterprise to keep pace with changes in Capital One products as well as emerging risks to ensure Capital One's continued stability and success. You and your team will partner with executives and other teams to transform risk management with innovative technology tools. Transaction Monitoring leaders at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent project management and communication skills they can apply when working across lines of business to create and implement innovative transaction monitoring solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Understanding, documenting and analyzing current state capabilities regarding one or more risk management processes. Leverage industry benchmarking to determine best practices and lessons learned regarding components of the Risk framework.

- Utilize risk data for insights to form strategic visions and enhance risk practices.

- Communicate strategies and visions to influence customers, partners, and stakeholders through delivering presentations that aide in the design, development, refinement, and usage of transaction monitoring processes.

- Leverage technology and product mindset to contribute to the acceleration of our compliance tech transformation journey

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 3 years of Financial Services Risk Management experience

- At least 5 years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk

- 3+ years of Financial Services risk management experience

- Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in risk management data, typologies, and methodologies
