HVAC Service Technician
**Description:**Repair rooftop HVAC unitssplit system unitsChange compressorsChange heat exchangesClean CoilsInstalls, repairs, and maintains all components in plumbing systems including, but not limited to, faucets, valves, piping, traps, toilets, sinks, and hot water heatersInstalls, repairs and maintains all components in building electrical systems including, but not limited to, wiring, lights, switches, breakers, transformers, and outlets.Hangs drywall, finishes drywall, patches holesThey will be dealing with plumbing/electrical/general maintenance issues, shovel snow if needed, responding to tenant requests.**Top Skills Details:**HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, Carpentry, Tools, Trade School, Graduate, Landscaping, schematics, voltage, electrical troubleshooting, compressors, TXV Valves, rooftop package unit**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Must be able to work on rooftop HVAC package units for those units be able to do the following-Read Schematics-change coils/compressor-low/high circulator-replace motors / heat-TXD valves troubleshoot / repair-Use electrical meter and multimeter**MUST HAVES:**-High School Diploma-Valid Maryland Drivers License (MVR CHECK)-5 years of commercial HVAC (This is the most important skill, will hire just HVAC Mechanic, if really good)-HVAC certification CFC/EPA (will offer to help get Journeyman's for the right candidate)-Ability to perform work in a safe manner-Knowledge of routine building maintenance and repair techniques-Ability to read and perform arithmetic computations-Ability to read site plans, schematic drawings, and building plans.-Ability to read and troubleshoot off a wiring diagram-Ability to use hand tools-Ability to use power tools-Must be able to work in all types of weather-Must be able to set up, take down and climb 32 ft extension ladders to perform roof work (NOT AFRAID OF HEIGHTS)-Ability to communicate with tenants and to make tenants happy in conjunction with work that is done-Ability to self start and stay on a schedule. They will be very busy. Anywhere from 3-10 tickets a day. Current route is covering Annapolis to BWI area.
