Administrative Specialist, AdmissionsThe George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School's Admissions Office seeks an Administrative Specialist to support the Admissions Office. A relatively young law school, Scalia Law offers students an opportunity to pursue a JD, JM, or an LLM.About the Position:The Administrative Specialist is involved in every aspect of student recruitment and enrollment. The Administrative Specialist will work under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Enrollment Management. General responsibilities include implementation of the admissions process, record keeping and document organization, and assistance with student recruitment.Responsibilities:The Administrative Specialist supports the overall admissions operations including providing administration admissions support services to Scalia Law School. The Administrative Specialist performs high-level processing applications, administrative support, and secretarial duties as well as purchasing.Monitor, process, and organize admissions application materials ensuring completeness in a timely manner;File and maintain incoming student files;Insert, update, and maintain student information into admissions databases;Serve as the primary contact to Records Office and Student Accounts;Purchase and procure items for the Admissions Office including office supplies and recruitment material;Reconcile purchases for the Admissions Office;Provide monthly reports of purchases to the Assistant Dean;Manage all office mailings and assist with incoming mail;Create, print, scan, and mail admissions letters and documents;Maintain program inventory including viewbooks, t-shirts, and office supplies;Provide administrative support to the Admissions Office; andAssist with special projects including admissions student events and courses.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Demonstrated proficient organization and detail orientated skills;Demonstrated ability to multitask and work independently;Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office;Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal; andAbility to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Banner Information System and/or ACES2; andKnowledge of university procedures, policies, and regulations.
