Client Intake Specialist (Non-student wage position - Part-Time) The George Mason University Mason Enterprise Center invites applications for a Client Intake Specialist. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position: The Client Intake Specialist is responsible for conducting the business client screening and supporting the training efforts including the state-wide COVID-19 response effort. This position will work closely with senior management and COVID-19 response team to support the intake process of the COVID-19 response. The Client Intake Specialist will help our clients to better understand the full potential of our SBDC counseling and training services. This position will support day-to-day activities of the client intake, help assure quality control, communicate frequently with the program manager, and aide in building and implementing online tools and resources for small businesses. The Client Intake Specialist will directly be in contact with clients and potential clients seeking SBDC services. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have strong interpersonal skills and impeccable communication skills. Responsibilities:Support business advising centers and provide assistance to center advising staff regarding all aspects of client life-cycle management: phone, email and online client intakes and triage;Make referrals to appropriate resources for clients/businesses;Respond to client inquiries; monitor, document, and enter client impact; enter client data into Center IC (client management system); and ensure that clients complete necessary documentation and reporting;Aid in communicating intake updates to service centers in order to understand goals and priorities of the organization;Coordinating with the marketing team to promote COVID-19 related training events;Support COVID-19 related training events including registration and reporting and follow-up;Ensure accuracy of the data in Center IC;Interact with all levels of management, both internally and externally;Enter, modify and maintain accurate client files and records;Help research and compile data for statistical, financial, and programmatic reports; andOther tasks as assigned.Required Qualifications:Effective interpersonal skills;Experience working in customer service;Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint;Demonstrated project management and time management, and performance skills;Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level managers;Very effective in written communications-technical, formal and informal;Effective verbal communications-one-on-one, on the phone and videoconferencing; andConfidentiality is critical for this role.Preferred Qualifications:Strong preference for small business or entrepreneurial experience.
