Duties

The position serves as Director of IT Systems (Applications) with operational and fiscal responsibility for the ERP, i.e. Enterprise Resource Planning System which represents Merchandising, Store Inventory, Store POS (Point of Sale), Financial Systems, and eCommerce. Direct associates for Application program development and Enterprise Data Architecture.

Responsibilities

Develops, maintains, and executes divisional operating budget in support of the corporate applications. Support the business processes and information needs through the use of Applications Systems. Receives very broad direction from the CIO and business units. Work is guided by CSC's strategic business plan and corporate priorities. Provide regular updates to the Executive Steering Committee which consists of the Commanding Officer, Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Information Officer.

  • Resided in the United States or its protectorate or territories (excluding short trips abroad, such as vacations);
  • Worked for the United States government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or
  • Have been a dependent of a United States Federal or military employee serving overseas.
  • Exceptions may be granted to applicants if they can provide complete stateside coverage information required to make a suitability/security determination. Applicants must provide this information with their application for employment.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience supervising a Retail Application Development department.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, from conception until postimplementation.
  • Experience with Structured Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience establishing and maintaining budgets for hardware, software and other expenses.
  • Preferred: (In addition to the minimum qualifications):
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience supervising a Retail Application Development department.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
