Digital Engagement SpecialistThe George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication (Mason 4C) invites applications for a Digital Engagement Specialist. The Energy and Enterprise Initiative (republicEn.org) at Mason 4C is an engagement and community-building effort that educates and promotes free enterprise action on climate change. RepublicEn has almost 19,000 members-the "EcoRight"-who care deeply about climate change and are working to activate right-leaning environmental advocates to step up and speak out.About the Position:The primary responsibility is overseeing content publication and distribution, including: writing and publishing republicEn emails/newsletters, writing and managing our social media accounts, maintaining the republicEn website, assisting with webinars and events, and executing online action campaigns. The incumbent should have experience with multi-platform content management and some experience in policy or advocacy work.This "restricted position" is paid 100% from sponsored program funding and is not eligible for severance benefits. This position has the potential for telework, hybrid or remote based on approval.Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to manage projects and work independently;Demonstrated experience in planning and publishing multi-platform content, effective verbal and written communication; technical skills with graphics editing, content editing and publishing; problem-solving, leadership and organizational skills;Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; andConsiderable experience (generally three (3)+ years) in communication and content creation.
