Director of Editorial ContentThe George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication (Mason 4C) invites applications for a Director of Editorial Content. The Energy and Enterprise Initiative (republicEn.org) at Mason 4C is an engagement and community-building effort that educates and promotes free enterprise action on climate change. RepublicEn has almost 19,000 members-the "EcoRight"-who care deeply about climate change and are working to activate right-leaning environmental advocates to step up and speak out. About the Position:The primary responsibility is creating content for several platforms, including: hosting and producing the EcoRight Speaks podcast series, curating and writing the "Climate Week En Review" branded email marketing newsletter, leading the programs' training and spokesperson program, and helping draft and place op-eds in relevant publications. The incumbent will be responsible for managing daily communication operations of the project.This "restricted position" is paid 100% from sponsored program funding and is not eligible for severance benefits. This position has the potential for telework, hybrid or remote based on approval. Required Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to manage own projects and work independently;Demonstrated effective communication and public speaking skills; effective verbal and written communication; technical skills with graphics editing, website management, content editing, and publishing; problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills;Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; andSignificant (generally seven (7)+ years) experience in communication and content creation.
