Job Description
Washington Post Live is looking for a production coordinator to join our editorial team. We are looking for a self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills. Someone who has a positive attitude, is highly organized, detail-oriented and can perform well under the pressure of a fast-moving news environment.
The ideal candidate is a team player who can follow detailed instruction but is also able to take initiative when needed and has a passion for journalism and is an avid consumer of news content.

Responsibilities :
- Track daily booking outreach and publishing daily updates
- Manage deadlines with the event side of the team
- Write/create lower thirds
- Create run of show grids from producer notes
- Coordinate connection tests with upcoming guests
- Assist with copy editing across all assets
- Coordinate collection of Twitter audience questions during each program
- Organize and update various excel tracking documents with precision
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in newsroom or similar environment
- Bachelor's degree required (TV/Film/Journalism or related field)
- Strong organization skills and the ability to perform duties under deadlines
- Strong presentation, writing and research skills
- Experience with digital media
- Ability to manage social media accounts desirable
- A collaborative spirit and ability to build partnerships across team
- Experience using Excel, Adobe Premier, photoshop
