Job Description

With a passion for eCommerce, merchandising, sales and marketing, this role will execute on the omnichannel monetization strategy for Giant Food. This position is the primary connection between our retail brand & category teams and vendor partners in the planning, strategizing, managing, and tracking all localized, vendor funded marketing campaigns.
This role must partner across Giant Food's commercial teams (eCommerce, merchandising, marketing, operations) and support organizations such as Peapod Digital Labs (PDL is our sister company providing digital tools and insights) to deliver on business and financial objectives. It is also imperative to drive the omnichannel shopper experience to accelerate customer acquisitions and retention.

Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with internal category teams and external vendor partners on selling and planning all vendor funded content at Giant Food
  • Track performance of all vendor funded content with a focus on digital advertisements and develop baselines to compare against
  • Monitor omnichannel ad revenue against the forecast and work closely with category teams and vendors to accurately bill the ads
  • Partner with vendors on an ad hoc basis to recommend offer structures and ad tactics to drive incremental sales and basket size growth
  • Work closely with the PDL Planning Specialist on vendor ad requests and confirm all information and creative is accurate once the placement goes live
  • Partner with the Omnichannel Partnership Manager to create vendor funded eCommerce exclusive offers and omnichannel bundling opportunities to drive sales and digital penetration
  • Develop weekly scorecards highlighting ad revenue and performance against baselines
  • Work with PDL Data and Digital Production Teams to create best in class ad reporting and share outs with the vendor community
  • Create omnichannel ad revenue targets in association with the Omnichannel Partnership Manager and Finance and track billing of all ads after marketing campaigns have finished


Essential Skills

Minimum Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in any Marketing, Operations, Sales, eCommerce or Finance related roles
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Proficient in MS Office tools, advance level in Excel
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in working with consumer packaged goods brands (CPGs) and/or external partners
  • Strong background in working in a cross functional environment
  • Experience in building new processes and executing on an operational and strategic level
