Primary Purpose

EMMES is seeking a Local Context Coordinator to review submissions for institutions relying on the NCI CIRB, establish a relationship with individuals at assigned institutions, provide regulatory direction and explanation for requirements, and communicate with CIRB members regarding local context reviews.

  • Review submissions from institutions regarding their local context to ensure completeness and compliance with regulations
  • Facilitates communications between institution contacts and CIRB members regarding reviews
  • Communicate with assigned institutions via phone and email using a Helpdesk Access database
  • Communicate internally regarding questions from assigned institutions
  • Use web-based system (IRBManager) to process submissions
  • Manage electronic institution files and archives within IRBManager and on the network

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in health-related field; oncology clinical trial environment preferred
  • At least two years of experience performing IRB support activities
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of work experience
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Ability to foresee upcoming issues and suggest solutions
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
