As a Learning Designer Associate, you will use human-centered design practices to empathize with our learners and their needs, build learner personas and journey maps, and design and develop custom learning experiences aligned to Capital One's brand and design standards. You will work with a team of world-class professionals to produce innovative learning and development solutions in support of our Learning & Development strategy and plan with a focus on design and development, implementation and measurement and evaluation.

As a Learning Designer Associate, you will use human-centered design practices to empathize with our learners and their needs, build learner personas and journey maps, and design and develop custom learning experiences aligned to Capital One's brand and design standards. You will work with a team of world-class professionals to produce innovative learning and development solutions in support of our Learning & Development strategy and plan with a focus on design and development, implementation and measurement and evaluation.
Position Responsibilities:
- Produce high quality, scalable learning experiences for Capital One associates that can be measured against behavioral changes in employees' performance skill and the business' performance
- Collaborate with learning consultants, subject matter experts, and learning team members across all lines of business on training needs, solution design recommendations, and delivery expectations
- Increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending
- Create behaviorally-based assessments and evaluation tools
- Manage learning projects and initiatives from start to finish, while providing regular progress updates to team leaders and stakeholders
- Coordinate development efforts to obtain content and timely reviews from clients and subject matter experts
- Support implementation strategy for training programs
- Design content, including (but not limited to) measurable learning objectives, facilitator and participant materials and tools, experiential scenarios (case studies) and simulations, assessment and evaluation questions
- Develop online learning solutions which are engaging and creative, while still maintaining the instructional integrity and validity of the solution
- Add or edit basic multimedia assets to content, including: images, audio and video clips, and other graphical content
- Update existing curricular and stand-alone learning experiences to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and measurability
- Consult with senior leaders and stakeholders on learning strategy
- Participate in Train-the-Trainer activities - as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in learning curriculum design
- At least 3 years of experience with learning content development tools, (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Design Suite, and Camtasia)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources or Training Design
- At least 2 years of experience in business consulting
- At least 4 years of experience in training design and delivery using multiple delivery methods (classroom, virtual classroom, eLearning, videos, micro-learning)
- At least 4 years of experience in learning curriculum design with a focus on change management
- At least 4 years of experience in learning curriculum design with a focus on diversity, inclusion and belonging
