Systems Engineer

Summary

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $133,200.

Venturi, LLC, a, Chenega company, has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineer who will play an important role supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. This individual will perform data configuration and must be able to write code to support different tasks needed by the team. Candidate must be able to move data to certain spots on the analysis system to be available for the team to provide their analysis results for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Execute instructions in terminal shells/command lines
  
• Execute 'unique' software programs with a variety of different user interfaces
  
• Event independent responsibilities: Define associated analysis tool requirements and support tool development as required, including writing code and providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to any tool development done
  
• Assist in administrative activities: Provide support to the team in coordination of meetings and schedule those meetings through e-scheduler
  
• Provide meeting minutes when desirable and provide those summaries to MDA leadership
  
• Must be knowledgeable of team activities and able to represent the team with flowing dialogue and specific information to address any type of task
  

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree (STEM field) with 7+ years of relevant experience
  
• 7+ years experience in a related field
  
• Fluent in MATLAB, Python, Java, or Linux experience analyzing performance of systems, including parsing data, assessing performance through analysis of large data sets, and writing MATLAB and/or Python code as required to generate analysis products (python acceptable in place of MATLAB)
  
• Ability to work independently within a highly secure and windowless environment
  
• Maintain the capability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel and work within a collaborative environment composed of government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment
  
• Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  
• Active secret clearance
  
• The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
  

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in military analysis and operations and familiarity with MDA/government engineering processes/databases
