Orphan Reach, part of the Emmes group is a full-service Niche CRO which operates globally in rare disease. The purpose of Orphan Reach is to expedite the development of orphan drugs and facilitate patient access to treatments which can improve the quality of life of patients and their families. By driving best practice our team can provide continued, seamless, high-quality support to biopharmaceutical companies throughout any stage of the orphan product lifecycle, a service that has not previously been available.

Primary Purpose

An experienced role, responsible for providing proposal support in the development of high quality, compliant, and timely proposals for Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies conducting clinical trials. The Proposal Developer uses Orphan Reach's proposal process, tools, and corporate policies to plan, manage, and contribute to all stages of the development of proposals with a high degree of professionalism and flexibility. Works alongside the Proposal Department Director and other team members to refine processes and tools and evolve our services and prepare Orphan Reach/Emmes to be a major competitor in the CRO marketplace.

Responsibilities
  • Reviews solicitation requirements and develops response plans for biopharma RFPs and RFIs, both domestic and international
  • Develops a workplan including a comprehensive proposal schedule and task assignments, that maximizes the time provided while allocating an appropriate amount of time to complete each task. Is setting review timelines for all stakeholders throughout the development process
  • Leads proposals through the corporate proposal development process, working with teams and department director to identify and resolve issues, so proposals are submitted on time, and track appropriate proposal process data
  • Organizes, writes, edits, and formats proposals consistent with response instructions using Orphan Reach templates and existing content where appropriate
  • Research using multiple internal and external sources to create content to develop tailored proposal sections with consistent messaging compliant with solicitation requirements and internal standards
  • Works closely with the Commercial Analyst to ensure budgeted services are described in the required detail. Ensures relevant input is obtained from other departments
  • Coordinates with subcontractors and other organizations as needed ensuring counterparts understand timelines for submitting responses; on an as-needed basis resolves issues and clarifies information to aid in moving the proposal process forward
  • Completes proposal production, formatting, and submission activities
  • Creates and maintains proposal folders according to department standards
  • Participates in continuous improvement of proposal development, stock material/templates, and knowledge management processes
  • Uses the client relationship management (CRM) system, ensuring that proposal data is accurately tracked and kept up to date
  • Other duties as assigned
