Further information about the School may be found at: https://nursing.gmu.edu.Responsibilities:Planning, teaching and evaluating curriculum across undergraduate and graduate programs;Mentoring, advising and evaluating students;Facilitating experiential learning in the simulation lab;Engaging with clinical and community-based partners;Pursuing professional service that advances the School's mission; andParticipating in faculty governance.Required Qualifications:Terminal degree in Nursing (DNP or PhD) or health-related field;An unencumbered Virginia Registered Nurse license, or eligibility to obtain upon employment;Experience with distance learning in an online environment;Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;Commitment to supporting a culture of inclusion and diversity; andMinimum of 5 years nursing experience.Preferred Qualifications:Current, unencumbered Virginia Nurse Practitioner license and national certification, and license to Prescribe;Experience with simulation;Expertise in effectively teaching in higher education;History of precepting nursing undergraduate and/or graduate students in clinical settings;Engaged in current nursing practice;Experience with distance learning in an online environment; andAdvanced practice certification as Family Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and/or Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.
