Duties

  • Contributes to the effective operations of the division and the development and implementation of special projects that enhance the division's work. Prepares technical and administrative reporting associated with assigned projects.
  • Coordinates various administrative activities, prepares and disseminates information including preparation of briefing materials, logistics and travel.
  • Maintains key documents for the division and manages the division's knowledge management protocols. Coordinates with knowledge management staff to identify methodologies and approaches.
  • Conducts research and analysis on complex issues related to MCC's portfolio and broader foreign assistance topics to augment the knowledge base.
  • Prepares briefing papers, speeches/remarks, talking points, data visualization tools, status reports and background information for decision-makers on topics, as requested.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders working with counterpart countries, including partners in other agencies, private sector, donor organizations, etc.
  • Tracks budgets to monitor division execution rates and to alert parties to any projected shortfalls or need for reallocation.
  • Develops and manages tracking and reporting tools, prepares status reports, presentations and briefings materials.
  • Assists with gathering and completing documentation to support procurement services such as coordinating input to statements of work, conducting market research, etc.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Relocation expenses will not be paid
  • More than 1 job may be filled if additional vacancies occur within 120 days
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required


Qualifications

To qualify for pay band 4B you must meet the following:

Have at least one year of specialized experience relevant to the position duties and comparable to the MCC Pay Band 4C (GS-11) or an equivalent level which is directly related to the work of this position and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. For this position, this experience is defined as: providing administrative support related to international development assistance programs or projects; coordinating administrative support activities (budget, procurement, logistics, travel, etc.); preparing data visualization tools, status reports and gathering background information for meetings and conferences; reviewing and tracking budget expenditures and preparing budget reports related to activities; and experience with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel and Word applications to produce documents and reports. Note: This experience MUST be well documented within your resume or application.

Desirable: Ability to speak and write fluently in French or Spanish is desired, but not required. (Please include language and level of proficiency in your resume).

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit may be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. To receive credit you must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week.
