Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for a Training Specialist with experience in developing adult learning training materials.  The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and a multidisciplinary research team working on data collection for the National Assessment of Educational Progress, (NAEP), an innovative digital educational assessment also known as “The Nation's Report Card.” 

This position has the option of  hybrid or remote work schedule arrangement. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
•    Participate in design, development and review of distance training development program.
•    Create training materials including developing and writing training procedures manuals and support material.
•    Conduct in-person training sessions for adult learners.
•    Work with project and IT staff on technical specifications for field systems.
•    Other relevant job duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
•    A bachelor's degree in education, social science and 1 year of relevant experience.
•    U.S. Citizenship is required by contract.

 Preferred Qualifications:
•    Master's degree preferred.
•    Fluency in writing and speaking Spanish.
•    Experience with adult learning development or e-learning tools such as Captivate.
•    Experience with large-scale field operations and digitally-based assessments.  
•    Experience working in an education or web survey environment.

Minimum Qualifications: 
•    Excellent communication skills as well as interpersonal, and organizational skills.
•    Able to work both independently and in a team environment. 
•    Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
