We are seeking a Senior Manager for Special Projects to help the CMO drive strategic projects across Marketing. This role is responsible for building collaboration across the greater marketing organization to create and drive strategic initiatives. It could be a jumping off point to numerous career opportunities in marketing, sales, and other functions. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, is driven, organized and detail-oriented; excels in strategy, operational excellence, program and project management.

To be successful in this role, you need:
  • The willingness to work across multiple topics and create strategic plans and at times drive the execution across and outside of marketing.
  • To be detail-oriented. Able to collect and organize information in the course of conversations and meetings.
  • To be systems-oriented. Looks for ways to build consistent approaches to manage and track metrics, programs, and projects.
  • To be able to build collaborative and constructive working relationships with many people, across many functions, inside Appian.
  • To be self-directed and capable of creating and executing plans with minimal input. At the same time, must know how to ask for advice or help when necessary.
  • The ability to think strategically. You should also have strong project management skills to orchestrate deliverables across multiple teams to project completion.
  • The ability to handle critical feedback and act on it.

Basic qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, technology, and/or marketing
  • Bachelor's degree required preferably in technology, science, or other STEM programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication with ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders as well as communicate to C-suite
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision making across all levels of the organization
