Principal Associate, Business Continuity/Resiliency - Enterprise Services Risk

As a Principal Associate in Capital One's Enterprise Services Risk Office, you will apply your analytical and delivery skills to our highest profile Risk Management projects. You will partner across ES to develop and support cutting-edge Risk solutions in a manner that supports innovation and protects our customers, shareholders, and associates. You will partner with peers and senior leaders, second and third lines of defense, as well as lines of business to drive organizational change to better manage the Company's risk in an open, collaborative environment where new ideas and solutions are both welcomed and rewarded.

Enterprise Services Risk professionals are experienced, well-trained, and progressive individuals that operate within a highly collaborative team environment to deliver value-added risk services to our business partners. The Principal Associate candidate will be a highly motivated Risk Management professional with excellent support, analytical, planning, collaboration, and communication skills. You will support ES lines of business in developing and maintaining robust business continuity strategies. You will help drive adherence to Capital One's Resiliency Standard.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, expertise and support for Business Continuity Management and Resiliency efforts
  • Support all areas of Business Continuity to ensure resilient strategies are in place and adequately tested
  • Provide support to Capital One's Cross Functional Crisis Management and LIRT Teams
  • Assist with identification, tracking and mitigation of all aspects of Business Continuity/ Resiliency Management including controls, risks and issues
  • Partner with other Line of Business Risk offices, 2 nd Line Risk Management functions and other appropriate stakeholders and partners
  • Assist with development, delivery, and support of data analytics regarding ES risk management practices, outcomes and trends
  • Provide Audit and Exam management support
  • Execute and help mature the risk service model that meets Enterprise Business Continuity Standard and Policy


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 2 years of Business Continuity or Technical experience
  • At least 3 years of risk management, technical compliance, legal, regulatory, or operations experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of Risk Management experience
  • At least 4 years of Business Continuity or Technical experience
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
