Support Specialist, Special Assets Group, Small Business Bank

The Special Assets Group Support Specialist (SAGSS) primarily supports the Small Business Operations Special Assets Team.



Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Special Assets Officers (SAO) in managing a portfolio of complex relationships including loans and deposits.
  • The SAGSS is a customer facing associate who also supports complex customer service needs including assisting with daily overdraft review and financial statement collection.
  • Assists with completion of regular reporting to leadership, as required by credit policy
  • The SAGSS is the champion of operational excellence, SAG support and servicing for the Small Business Operations Team
  • Research information for customer/prospect
  • Deliver high quality customer service and accurate/timely problem resolution
  • Maintain data integrity to include bank systems
  • Act as operational resource for the team
  • Assist with training of new hires/mentors
  • Maintain satisfactory audit scores
  • Complete mandatory compliance training


Additional responsibilities include projects, participation in bank initiatives, training and compliance.



Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use cellular data (hot spot)
    • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
    • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here .     • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
    • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of site to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology are delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.


Work at Home Living Requirements:
  • Candidates must live within approximately 100 miles driving distance of Plano, TX (75024), Mandeville, LA (70471), Melville, NY (11747), NYC, NY (10171), McLean, VA (22102), Richmond, VA (23238) and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 2 years of banking experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting Special Assets, Collections or Workout
  • At least 2 years of experience with Google Suite Products



Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years banking experience
  • 4+ years of experience in supporting Special Assets, Collections or Workout
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Working knowledge of ABCS, Touchpoint, and ALS systems
