Clinical Research AssociateThe Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence (ACE!) within the SCHAR School of Policy and Government at George Mason University is seeking a clinician for a two-year appointment to deliver services in Rockdale County Jail in Georgia as part of a research project. The position will be part of a project funded by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) that aims to deliver and test tools that can help young individuals' (17-24 year olds) have better outcomes both inside the jail and after release.The individual in this position will lead the DREAM program, a cognitive-behavioral program tailored to address key emerging adult development issues through group/individualized sessions, comprehensive case management, and reentry services. In addition to leading DREAM programming, this individual will help support the research protocols in place.This will be a full time position (40 hours per week) that is based at Rockdale County Jail, in part of the greater Atlanta region.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Required Qualifications:Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field; andProficiency with MS Office software.Preferred Qualifications:Licensure in social work or related field;Experience with research studies;Experience with justice-involved populations;Minimum 1 year experience providing direct services;Human subjects (IRB) training prior to start date; andExcellent time management and organizational skills.Additional Requirements:Must be able to pass a background check to work inside of the jail.
