MANAGER AREA MAINTENANCE

Facilities Management at the University of Maryland, College Park is currently seeking an experienced Manager to lead its team of campus maintenance technicians, supervisors, and assistant managers. This position will also serve as the liaison and organizer of current and new preventive maintenance programs to expand the activities of the organization’s transition of reactive to corrective and preventative maintenance. Duties of this unit include the development, execution and monitoring of all maintenance operations and daily work activities for all academic and administrative buildings, which includes building inspections, maintenance emergency response, facility renewal projects, preventative/predictive maintenance, and corrective/service-related work orders. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required. A total of 8 years of experience and education (12 years without education), with a minimum of 3 years in a lead/supervisory capacity. Experience in data analysis, project management, building automation, scheduling work tasks and determining resource requirements in a multi-facility trades and maintenance environment strongly desired.
