The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified Marketing Specialist to join the team in the Office of Marketing Communications. One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The school is consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools by leading business publications such as Business Week, Financial Times, Economist and the Wall Street Journal.

The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for working with our campus partners and a team of designers and content creators to come up with unique marketing content for publication across online or digital platforms, to drive awareness of and enrollment in Smith School programs and events. Duties include creating content to meet the school’s marketing objectives, on time and within budget.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, business, communications, or related field. 4-6 years of professional experience showing proven results in marketing, advertising, or promotion in an academic, corporate or agency environment. Background in higher education preferred. Applicants must also have excellent visual and written communications skills. Proven understanding of creative development and production processes; ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines. Ability to work cross-functionally to manage all aspects of a campaign from inception to launch. Willingness to learn team project management system. Team player, outstanding interpersonal communication skills and self-starter. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, a plus.
