 The University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business is seeking a well-qualified Program Manager, Dean’s Office Operations to join the Office of the Dean.  One of 13 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Smith School is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. The school is consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools by leading business publications such as Business Week, Financial Times, Economist and the Wall Street Journal.  

The Program Manager supports the Office of the Dean in an efficient and effective manner in a myriad of functions and activities. Provides a high level of support to the Office of the Dean and senior management.  This position supports the Senior Associate Dean in a myriad of functions from the TTK and PTK merit view process; managing faculty processes; faculty payroll related responsibilities; maintaining list servs and campus tracking systems; managing all administrative processes at the direction of the Senior Associate Dean. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Three -five plus years of experience in a related field.  It is vital for this individual to be a strong team player while being able to act as the reflection of the Deans Office. Develops constructive and collaborative working relationships with others and maintains them over time. Displays high levels of initiative; must be a highly motivated self-starter who takes direction well but can also work independently. Excellent ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including but not limited to university officials, staff, faculty, students, alumni, community leaders, and vendors. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Possesses excellent time management skills.  Demonstrates strong office management and planning and organizing skills. Shows strong attention to detail. Displays a strong work ethic (conscientious and dependable). Ability to consistently deliver high quality work within quick turnaround times. Excellent multi-tasking skills; can effectively handle multiple issues at the same time.
