Third-Party Billing SpecialistThe George Mason University, Fiscal Services Department, invites applications for a Third Party Billing Specialist in our Office of Student Accounts. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Establish and create third-party accounts by reviewing various tuition assistance forms for accuracy, including all Special Arrangement Contract (SAC) waiver paperwork;Process tuition payments via wire transfer notices, wire transfers, checks, and credit card authorizations;Responsible for all aspects of customer service delivery and satisfaction based on established best practices;Agency account reconciliation of debit and credit balances and preparation of refund requests;Demonstrate professional courtesy to colleagues and others. Work with co-workers with development, cross-training, and other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelors in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience;Effective oral and written communication skills;Demonstrated customer service and account analysis experience;Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access.Preferred Qualifications:General understanding of student privacy laws and policy, including FERPA;Working knowledge of Banner applications, or equivalent computer systems.
