Graduate Recruitment and Admissions CoordinatorGeorge Mason University's Schar School of Policy and Government, invites applications for the position of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator. This position is located on the Arlington campus.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions, the Graduate Recruitment and Admissions Coordinator supports efforts to enhance the school's reputation as a preeminent school for policy, government, and international affairs. This position combines efforts across recruitment, admissions and operations providing opportunities for growth and strong support for professional development. Specific responsibilities include:Recruitment:Serves as the first point of contact for inquires including phone, email, zoom, and in-person engagement with prospective students and responsible for logging the appropriate documentation in the Salesforce TargetX Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;Attends recruitment and admissions events both on-campus, virtually, and regionally as requested;Assists with the development and execution of in-person and virtual events, as well as liaising with the Marketing and Communications office for all relevant communications and website updates.Admissions:Utilizes the Salesforce TargetX Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to effectively follow the application lifecycle of a candidate and communicate with applicants to ensure that they are successfully moving from application start to application complete;Engages with application readers to ensure timely review of applications and support the Director of Recruitment and Admissions in data analysis and scholarship review;Tracks candidate decisions and provides regular updates to lead recruiters and Program Directors for follow-up;Manages the admissions administrative functions of the Bachelor's/Accelerated Master's program.Operations:Supports the Director of Recruitment and Admissions in executing the strategy of the Graduate Admissions office including admissions reporting, development and execution of admissions and recruitment best-practice processes, as well as general office management;Develops strong working relationships with stakeholders across the Schar School and George Mason, including but not limited to, faculty Program Directors, Student Services, Career Services, central Graduate Admissions, and Marketing;Serves as an office representative on relevant Schar and campus committees;Maintains the Graduate Admissions Ambassador calendar and Admissions Events calendar.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;Desire to learn and contribute to all graduate admissions and recruitment functions;Advanced and effective written and oral communications skills with high attention to detail;Working expertise in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting;Willingness and ability to travel throughout the region, as well as work evening and weekend events (during peak season, occasional); andAbility to work independently to complete projects and handle multiple projects concurrently.Preferred Qualifications:Some (1-3 years preferred) experience in admissions, recruitment, marketing, business development, sales, or higher education;Experience in Salesforce TargetX and/or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
