Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a quickly growing technology firm located in Arlington, Virginia in their search for an Events Coordinator to support their Talent Team. Events will create opportunities for employees to network with leaders and peers across the company, develop new skills and expertise, build lasting connections within the company and have fun! Are you an engaging and detail oriented professional with at least two years of professional events coordination experience?

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Direct of Talent (and other key leaders) to plan and implement special events scheduled throughout the year. Events vary in size but all focus on engaging our employees and leaders
  • Oversee the logistics of event planning, implementation, and follow-up. This includes all aspects of event coordination: invitations, communications, vendor contracts, event set-up and breakdown, event recaps and other duties as appropriate
  • Employee Calendar of Event and promote as necessary to drive engagement
  • Track and report all expenses associated with event(s). Seek approval when an expense exceeds allocated budget
  • Assists with conducting preliminary research on event locations, vendors, etc.
  • Assures confidentiality of all data, including sensitive information related to event guests
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Ability to prepare and manage to a budget
  • Be a creative thinker as well as a practical implementer
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and vendor
  • Maintain and display enthusiasm for special events among employees and leaders
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event coordination or related discipline
