MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation seeks an Engineering, Analyst who will serve as a Multimedia Communications Specialist to support a Federal Government client on-site at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. The Multimedia Communications Specialist will provide technical and operational troubleshooting, testing and preventative maintenance of audio-visual equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform initial setup, testing and troubleshooting on various types of AV systems and equipment to include, but not limited to: Video Teleconferencing systems; Audio systems (Program and Speech, DSP based systems); Video Wall Display Systems; Custom Signage Systems; Crestron and AMX Control Devices; Cisco UC & Cisco TelePresence systems; ClearOne Converge Audio Processors; Vaddio PTZ Wall Cameras; Barco & Planar Display Technology; Extron XTP, Crestron, and AMX matrix systems
  • Provide onsite guidance and expertise during onsite system installation, testing and customer acceptance
  • Troubleshoot Audio Visual system issues to determine and find resolutions, or appropriate usage
  • Work with manufacturers to develop relationships related to equipment servicing (technical support, securing return authorizations, complete repair functions required to resolve customer issues)
  • Assemble reports and in-house paperwork to record equipment and system testing results
  • Escalate trouble calls to Tier III support as required by capturing detailed trouble reports and troubleshooting steps, following Tier III recommended trouble shooting procedures;
  • Process RMAs to OEM / Vendors
  • Track & document ongoing trouble tickets
  • Prepare and track status reports to the government project lead

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in a Multimedia Development discipline and 3 years progressive experience in audio, video, broadcast, or print media development with a basic knowledge of systems integration -OR- HS/GED with 7 years progressive experience in audio, video, broadcast, or print media development with a basic knowledge of systems integration
  • Ability to travel worldwide, up to 20 percent of the time
  • CTS cert from Avixa plus manufacturer certifications (AMX, Crestron, ClearOne, Extron, or Cisco)
  • Competent in reading and interpreting system block and room elevation drawings
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to stand, kneel and/or crouch for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in high places, as well as small, cramped places
  • Ability to work in hot humid places, as well as cold places
  • Per federal guidelines, you may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain vaccination

Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years direct audio-visual experience
  • CTS cert from Avixa plus manufacturer certifications (AMX, Crestron, ClearOne, Extron, or Cisco)
  • AMX and Crestron programming experience
  • Extron XTP switch configuration experience
  • Top Secret clearance

BA/BS in a Multimedia Development discipline
