Principal Coordinator, Receivables Research & Resolution Agent

Capital One's Treasury Management Receivables products accelerate the collection and availability of funds critical to the success of our Commercial and Small Business customer base while also providing essential data and information reporting. Through the use of technological advancements, strategic partnership networks and highly talented associates, we offer solutions that provide our customers greater scale, control and cost savings than can be attained through conducting these services themselves.

Capital One is currently in search of a Principal Coordinator to serve as a Receivables Research and Resolution associate, Treasury Management; Fulfillment Operations. This individual will be a member of a small team focused on repairing and responding to reported defects, examining trends, handling exceptions, and serving as a point of escalation to our external vendor partners in support of our remittance processing receivables product.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Review all research cases for appropriate repair and response
  • Work closely with internal and external partners to coordinate tactical actions and communications
  • Directly process exception items unable to be handled by our vendor partner
  • Assist with maintaining and auditing control effectiveness associated with the Lockbox product
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries in order to provide clear processing instructions
  • Proactively identify, communicate and participate in any process enhancement opportunities
  • Leverage exceptional decision making skills and ability to follow procedures in order to mitigate risk
  • Assist with other projects as needed
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness


Work at Home Technology Requirements:
  • A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions
  • A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use cellular data (hot spot)
    • Cable or fiber connections are preferred
    • Internet service download speeds must be at least 5 mbps, with 10+ mbps preferred - check your download speed using a speed test. A sample one can be found here . To test your home internet from your personal computer at home, type www.speedtest.net into the web browser of your personal computer.
    • Sustained ability to maintain latency less than 250 ms in voice calls is required
  • Hard wired connectivity is preferred, any use of wireless connectivity must be Private (non-public) and password protected through WPA2-PSK (AES) encryption. If you have any questions about your encryption, please consult with your internet provider
    • A private network is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
  • Capital One reserves the right to request proof of internet provider, speed and service package from the associate
  • Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Capital One reserves the right to modify internet service requirements with sixty (60) days notice.


Candidates must live within 100 miles driving distance of our hub location based in Melville, NY.

Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
  • At least 2 years of experience in Banking Operations


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • Business Process Management certification
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Receivable Treasury Management products
  • At least 1 year of experience working with regulations and laws of Receivable Treasury Management products
  • At least 1 year of experience with Salesforce case management system
  • At least 1 year of experience with Google Suite business applications
