Job Summary: 
Westat is seeking a Event Support Specialist in support of our staff's conferencing needs using various conferencing services. The person in this role must be a self-starter, have a desire and aptitude to own the assigned tasks and projects, as well as provide direction on new technologies. 

Job Responsibilities: 
• Provide daily operational and technical support of video conferences and virtual meetings primarily using MS Teams, Webex, and Zoom.
• Responsible for video conference scheduling, creating & managing user accounts, and escalating issues to appropriate teams, when necessary.  
• Assist in the setup and support of Web Conferencing meetings using various platforms and technologies.
• Provide assistance to staff with web conferencing related issues and facilitate resolutions.
• Work with outside vendors to resolve issues and perform updates/upgrades, as needed.
• Document and report on the various conferencing platforms, their usage, and associated costs.
• Assist with the development and writing of training materials, FAQs, and other documentation. 

Basic Qualifications: 
• A high school diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant experience is required. 
• In depth working knowledge of the latest communications platforms including MS Teams, Webex, Zoom and other platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service expertise. 
• Ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate and evaluate activities in multiple areas simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience with video conferences and virtual meetings in a large corporate environment. 
• Proficiency in using MS Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.).
