Administrative Associate, Dean's SuiteThe George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Administrative Associate, Dean's Suite. The successful candidate will professionally represent the Office of the Dean to all constituents, and provide a full range of administrative support within the Dean's office. This is a wage position at the rate of $25 per hour. The anticipated hours for this position are 40 hours per week.George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:The Administrative Assistant has responsibilities in the following areas:Reception Services;Office Administrative Support for the Dean's Office;Facilities Operational Support;Special Projects and Event Planning;Coordination of College Work Study Interns.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent;Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);Ability to organize and manage complex administrative processes;Ability to work with senior management personnel;Ability to work independently and complete multiple tasks within tight deadlines;Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills;Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills;Ability to handle matters with discretion and maintain absolute confidentiality in a highly visible office;Ability to work effectively as a key member of an administrative support team in a dynamic, fast-paced, demanding environment with frequently changing priorities.Preferred Qualifications:College level course work;Experience in providing administrative support in an academic environment;Experience in senior level administrative management and support in an academic environment;Knowledge of University and School of Business programs, policies, and procedures.
