Job Description
The Washington Post's News Administration department has a part-time opening to work 15 to 30 hours per week as a copy aide. This is an entry-level position in The Post's newsroom. Responsibilities include sorting mail, newspaper distribution, monitoring and servicing printers, shipping via UPS and USPS, assisting staff, interacting with our readers via phone/email and other duties as assigned. The position requires some night and weekend shifts.
The ideal candidate should be punctual and reliable; someone who has strong communication skills and a passion for journalism; and a self-starter who takes direction well and is a strong teammate.
This position will also provide ample opportunities for work experience in areas across the newsroom. Wherever your journalistic interests lie, we endeavor to support the professional goals of each member of our team.
