Wonderful full-time long-term contract opportunity in DC for an experienced individual who can process DC Medicaid claims, appeals, denials, and perform research. This is a remote "work from home" position. Some of the responsibilities include:
  • Complete all duties associated with eligibility verification, coverage, authorizations, appeals, and denials for outpatient procedures
  • Research and verify insurance coverage by phone and online to ensure proper coordination reimbursement of benefits and estimates of patients financial responsibilities for commercial, governmental, and third party insurances
  • Conduct benefit investigation to determine in detail specific coverage for a variety of services
  • Administer web-based review (e.g., auto-adjudication)


Job Requirements

  • 2 years' experience handling billing & reimbursements for DC or MD Medicaid recipients
  • Experience handling claims, appeals, and denials
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, & Outlook
  • Type 50 WPM
  • Ability to work remotely until organization returns working downtown in DC near Metro Center
