The Junior Contract Manager Specialist shall provide assistance in the areas of contract administration and management support to Contracting Officers (CO) and program office Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
Responsibilities
- Aid with monitoring and tracking contract obligations consistent with the contract requirements.
- Research issues regarding protests, terminations, disputes, and claims and compile or produce data to support the government's position in response to such actions.
- Prepare contract modifications for the CO signature in PRISM.
- Ensure the original, fully executed contract modification is placed in the contract file by scanning and uploading an executed copy of the contract modification and complete the FPDS-NG module with PRISM.
- The contractor shall prepare and assist with presentations to support meetings, conferences, and IPTs.
- Analyze data, metrics, and trends and provide findings.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years post-award contract administration and management experience
- 1+ years of specialized experience with federal government contract management and administration, as a federal employee or as a federal contractor employee
- DAWIA or FAC-C Level I Certification is highly desired
- United States citizen with no dual citizenship required
- Background check required
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to pass the US Secret Service background Investigation Check.
- Working knowledge and understanding of software applications, like Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, PRISM, Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), Federal Business Opportunities (FBO), and other procurement software that is currently used by USSS.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate strong business and organizational skills and have outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Motivated self-starters.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
