Summary

The Software Engineer I shall perform full life cycle software development. The Software Engineer I will review, evaluate, design, develop, test, and implement company, department, and enterprise applications and solutions. The Software Engineer I will evaluate current and future technologies in anticipation of changing/evolving business needs and direction.

Responsibilities
  • Modify, develop, write, and assist with design of software programming applications.
  • Support and/or install software applications/operating systems.
  • Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 2+ years of experience with software engineering
  • IAT II certification
  • Skilled in Java and Linux
  • Skilled in web-oriented software development or cloud-based application development
  • Skilled in programming in C#, Objective-C, and JavaScript
  • TS/SCI clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of current military related modeling and simulation concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Proficient at complex programming, exercising independence and discretion while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong problem analysis and solving skills.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluation methods and techniques.
  • Ability to handle controversial situations with tact and diplomacy.
