Summary

The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $142,600 .

Venturi, LLC has an exciting career opportunity for a CSSC Senior System Engineer who will perform important work supporting Missile Defense Agency on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. Ths individual will support the C2BMC System Support Center (CSSC) in the BMDS Network Security & Operations Center (BNOSC). The C2BMC engineering efforts include verifying operational missile launch events reported to the C2BMC System and assisting in the analysis and verification that the MDS C2BMC development activities meet design and build specifications. This individual who performs daily analysis and reporting support is a member of the CSSC team supporting key products developed to communicate the current technical status of the MDA/BC fielded assets.

Responsibilities
  • Key products associated with this effort include C2BMC Daily Operational Situational Report Situational Awarenes, Quick Look report input, database produced reports, logs, and maintenance files and Backup coding files
  • Monitor all globally deployed C2BMC operations and provide feedback of C2BMC system performance during real world events, ground/flight tests, and special interest events to senior leadership
  • Maintain and update the Missile Event Database System, a SQL database that catalogues records comprehensive detailed information about all missile launches, anomalous events, and Space Domain Awareness (SDA) satellite tracking events
  • Write proper scripts and programming code that sustains the database to support the mission of the CSSC
  • Use the Missile Event Database to provide detailed launch-profile information that augments high-level analysis along with screen-shot images as shown on C2BMC
  • Provide initial Quick Look analysis of operational missile events, including number of events, reporting sensors, missile flight phase, countries of launch and impact, sensor details and other information as required
  • Support the center's reports by providing quick and accurate data
  • Prepare executive-level situational awareness reports and status reports of events of high interest of the government customer
  • Support the CSSC requirements to coordinate operational data collections to process files into the Missile Event Database for all events reported to the C2BMC system
  • The Data Mining database system consists of an extensive JAVA-based program that loads launch events into an SQL database from raw C2BMC transaction data, plus a comprehensive web-based system providing user interface to the SQL Missile Event Database
  • The selected candidate will prepare C2BMC quick look reports using the database that summarizes test results from a situational awareness perspective using screen shots with accompanying analysis

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Master of Science or Master of Arts degree and 12+ years of experience OR
  • BA/BS degree and 20+ years of experience in lieu of a master's degree
  • General knowledge of how to build web-based database systems
  • Experience with one or more web-based support languages, like JAVA Server Pages, PHP, or Python, etc.
  • Experience with SQL databases, like ORACLE or MySQL: Structure or Scripts and Maintenance
  • Familiarity with JAVA programming language
  • Experience with coding/programming with HTML and JAVASCRIPT
  • Active secret clearance required

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity in military operations and analysis
  • Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Missile Defense Systems, and/or C2BMC Program Office work efforts
  • Familiarity and experience with coding/programming with HTML and JAVASCRIPT
  • Ability to work independently within a highly secure and windowless environment, working rotating shifts, and applying operational based solutions to support real-world missile events and tests, integration, and operations
  • Maintain the capability to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel
  • Work within a collaborative environment composed of government, prime contractor, sub-contractor, and supporting contractor personnel in a badge-less contractor environment
