Summary

The Associate Application Support Engineer will be part of an integrated Operations & Sustainment team that provides critical mission support to a DOD customer. The Associate Application Support Engineer will interface with other engineers co-located, as well as located at other agency facilities. The Associate Application Support Engineer provides support Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to day-to-day engineering operations of the customer's application.
- Provide assistance to the customer with monitoring and problem investigation for segment interfaces.
- Support on-site customers and provide technical customer service support including logging and triaging trouble calls, and monitoring customer requests via email, and Jabber.
- Work closely with client/customer, to help define/review product and system requirements for hardware and software.
- Test software and system performance as necessary to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with software or hardware.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
- Respond in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Provide technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1+ years of experience supporting a DOD and/or Intelligence Community customer
- Security+ required within 90 days of hire
- TS/SCI Security Clearance required
- The position requires a COVID vaccination or an approved accommodation/exemption for a disability/medical condition or religious belief
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands (eg. can "ls", "cd", "pwd", "grep")
- Basic knowledge of Scripting
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Mail, Word, Excel, etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to work with the team even if it includes performing routine tasks
- Willing to learn and work towards becoming a more advanced Application Support Engineer

- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
- Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end-users on frequently asked technical issues
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
- Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
