The Records Project Lead will manage the day-to-day operations; project execution; staff mentoring; and policy development for the Bureau of Prisons Information Management Section.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between contract support and the government point of contact.
- Provide leadership support for the contract team.
- Develop strategies based on best practices to complete the assigned task.
- Assist in records management policy development.
- Review and approve contract deliverables.
- Identify tools and training required to successfully/efficiently complete assignments.
- Monitors all team operations (i.e., utilization of provided records management systems such as Archives and Records Center Information Systems (ARCIS), Electronic Records Archives (ERA), Inventory, Records & Information Management Certification (RIMCert)).
- Assist in the development of electronic records management guidance and provide development support.
- Lead team in record owner interviews; data collection, and requirements gathering.
- Serve as the point of contact for the development and tracking of the client records management training.
- Monitor and provide guidance for file plan development/review team members' file plans
- Serve as the point of contact for the Record/Information Dissemination Section (RIDS) database in regards to development, updates, and maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years of Program Management experience
- BOP Security Clearance Eligible (Public Trust)
- 8+ years of Records & Information Management experience
- National Archives and Records Administration Certification desired

- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time, as needed
- Must be able to multi-task in a high-stress, performance-based environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have exceptional supervisory and management skills
