Overview

The Web Data Analyst provides analysis and reporting of our website experience and traffic; partners with marketing and communication strategists to enhance and optimize the consumer experience based on identified trends and usage patterns; and administers the content management and scripting to support internal and external facing Drupal and Sharepoint environments for both Northwest Federal Credit Union (NWFCU) and the Foundation. This job is eligible for hybrid remote/in-office work.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis
  • Leverage website analytics to enhance and optimize the consumer experience and drive conversion
  • Report on system usage to determine beneficial enhancements for end users
  • Maintain, review and analyze system heuristics to identify trends and achieve high availability
  • Analyze and identify key trends, opportunities and causes of change for web traffic
  • Define, monitor and report on social media KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and best practices for system administration and other components of job
  • Establish, administer and pull monthly report on Marketing requests queue, hours and approval workflow using Workfront; create procedures for system use and provide ongoing best practice guidance across the team
  • Provide page-views reports for specific products or campaigns
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Support production operations, sometimes after normal business hours


Content Management

  • Serve as primary resource to develop and maintain the overall appearance and design of the NWFCU and Foundation websites in Drupal, as well as employee communications in SharePoint sites.
  • Enhance websites using web technologies such as HTML 2.0 and JavaScript
  • Incorporate applications, graphics audio and video clips into websites
  • Integrate tools that enhance the user's website experience
  • Ensure websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones, as well as ADA accessibility
  • Routinely test websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factors; perform regular audits and repair of web accessibility and quality assurance issues using Siteimprove tool for NWFCU suite of websites; recommend guidelines, best practices and standards related to designing and maintaining accessible websites
  • Ensure all website content is optimized for SEO
  • Fix any website issues or bugs that arise, including broken links (below previously under system analysis duties)
  • Work with IT Systems team to deploy new applications and manage technical updates and enhancements to existing applications, using best practices of development system and testing prior to live deployment
  • Serve as a primary resource for systems managed by Marketing, such as the intranet using SharePoint, digital signage and digital rate boards using a proprietary content management system, project management system using Workfront and online and mobile banking marketing content using a proprietary content management system
  • Serve as cornerstone for escalating system issues; provide timely response to escalations
  • Work with developers to help create and update forms and other documents stored in the systems
  • Work with IT service team to administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions and access rights
  • Define recovery time objectives working with IT Infrastructure
  • Support, configure and monitor the corporate SharePoint intranet environments, including creating/designing new webpages, forms, workflows and user permissions
  • Create and format interactive .pdf forms using Adobe Acrobat; convert documents to HTML and .pdf and post to the internet and intranet websites
  • Use basic Photoshop skills to manipulate graphics for web and digital use
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)

Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum of four years of experience in web development, marketing or information systems
  • Proven experience in deploying and maintaining software systems, applications and related products
  • Knowledge of security principles and general software management best practices
  • Expertise coding and developing in Drupal, SharePoint and HTML/CSS
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Demonstrated knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate both orally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing section 508 and WCAG 2.0 compliant web content
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and strong time management skills
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices, laws and regulations
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong member service orientation
  • Must have the ability to work M-F 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Certifications in web development, HTML and/or CSS helpful
  • Working knowledge of social media KPIs and social analytics reporting

  • Good understanding of SEO principles to ensure that applications adhere to them
  • Experience with data visualization in Tableau, Cognos, or other visualization platforms
