The primary functions of the Loan Servicing Post Closing role is to verify data/documents for all recently funded/closed mortgage loans. This role also includes the ability to handle standard mortgage servicing questions from internal and external members.


  • Review and reconcile all newly funded/closed first mortgage loans to include matching loan data to the core system as well as ensuring all documents have been received, signed and notarized
  • Review and reconcile all newly funded/closed Home Equity and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) loans to include matching loan data to the core system as well as ensuring all documents have been received, signed and notarized
  • Prepare all Home Equity and HELOC loan documents for recordation and send to third party for recording
  • Manage all Veterans (VA) first mortgage loans to ensure funding fee and guaranty has been obtained
  • Process mortgage payment transactions
  • Research and resolve mortgage loan discrepancies
  • Handle member requests pertaining to mortgage loans via email, mail or phone
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)


  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of mortgage lending experience at a financial institution with 1 year specific mortgage servicing experience
  • Experience working in a financial institution in a branch, call center or retail environment may be substituted for Loan Servicing experience
  • Knowledge of DNA and Nautilus Imaging Software preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to use discretion in your work
