The Business Process Analyst is part of the project delivery team and collaborates with business partners in the development and execution of automated, standardized, data-driven solutions and acts as a change agent by eliciting and communicating complex business needs into concise, actionable business requirements.


  • Collaborate with the business and relevant subject matter experts to create a business case, requirement documents, process workflows, and other valuable artifacts to enable the efficient and effective development and support of automated, standardized, data-driven solutions.
  • Through the Project Delivery Office and established project intake process, assesses projects at an early stage to identify risks, impacts and opportunities.
  • Prepare documentation such as functional/business requirements and use cases.
  • Support ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies across the Credit Union as applicable.
  • Conduct detailed risk assessment and mitigation plans in collaboration with the project manager.
  • Effectively document and communicate business process insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Work closely with business process owners, technical and managerial staff to document processes.
  • Work closely with business units to identify and implement new controls and control testing plans which ensure compliance with regulatory policy, internal policy and procedure, quality standards and service level agreements.
  • Document the progress and quality of the work being performed.
  • Develop and maintain RACI documentation for operational transition.
  • Support the implementation of new or revised business processes and workflows.
  • Together with project managers, perform after action reviews for completed projects.
  • Support the knowledge transfer of business requirements/implications to developers and project managers.
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures.



  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field; or, equivalent business process analysis experience
  • 2+ years in business process analysis or related field
  • Excellent task management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Advanced understanding of business functions, workflows and processes
  • Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical user
  • Solid knowledge of workflow and process control software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project and Excel.


  • Experience in the financial industry.
