Marketing and Social Media Coordinator, Green Machine EnsemblesThe George Mason University, Green Machine Ensembles Indoor Drumline, seeks qualified applicants for a Marketing and Social Media Coordinator position. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:Season Pay: Competitive and related to experience/availabilityEstimated Hours Per Week: 12 (1 in-person, 11 remote)Weekends Per Month: 1Dates of Employment: ASAP - April 2023 (renewal dependent on both parties)Reports to: Creative Director, Program DirectorResponsibilities:Develop comprehensive yearly/monthly/weekly marketing strategy in tandem with Creative Director;Oversee the upkeep of the GMUID marketing calendar;Responsible for the creation and implementation of all GMUID social media/marketing posts, personally or through delegation;Oversee consistent social media activity across all platforms;Actively engage with GMUID stakeholders through social media platforms via commenting, following, polls, Q&As, DMs, etc.;General and consistent upkeep of GMUID website;Design marketing graphics for ensemble social media to promote the show, merchandise, fundraising, etc., as needed;Attend rehearsals and shows to photograph/video the ensemble;Oversee staff and member social media leadership team to ensure consistent engagement across all GMUID-affiliated channels; andAvailability to complete compliance and professional development trainings, both online and in person.Required Qualifications:Desire and drive to positively impact a world class marching ensemble;Experience with platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Wix, etc.;Project management skills;Self-reliant worker who brings ideas to the table;An excitement for creativity around branding;Innovative thinker who is excited to delve into the most relevant social platforms (Tik-Tok, Discord, YouTube); andInterest in professional development.
