Front Ensemble Technician, Green Machine EnsemblesThe George Mason University, Green Machine Ensembles Indoor Drumline, seeks qualified applicants for a Front Ensemble Technician position. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.About the Position:Season Pay: Competitive and related to experience/availabilityEstimated Hours Per Week: 13 (10 in-person, 3 remote)Weekends Per Month: 2 - 3+Dates of Employment: August 2022 - April 2023 (renewal dependent on both parties)Reports to: Front Ensemble ManagerResponsibilities:Provide rehearsal structure and educational feedback at live rehearsals, including sub-sectionals and full sectionals;Gain a strong understanding of the musical program and artistic motivation of the entire program;Create, review, and provide feedback on video assignments;Ability to communicate as needed, up to a daily basis;Create and monitor section group chats;Ability to commit to rehearsal/show attendance at least 4 weeks in advance; andAvailability to complete compliance and professional development trainings, both online and in person.Required Qualifications:DCI/WGI/DCA marching experience;Desire and drive to positively impact a world class performing ensemble;Willingness to adapt to dynamic teaching environments;Demonstrated communication skills; andInterest in professional development.
